Shust Teams with WAY-FM Network, Spirit 105.3 and, Star 99.1
Dove-Award winning Aaron Shust is teaming with radio outlets across the country to help make Christmas a little more merry to those in need. The artist is working with WAY-FM Network, Star 99.1/Zarephath, NJ and Spirit 105.3/Seattle, WA.
Shust and his new Christmas project, Unto Us, sponsored Star 99.1 Home for the Holidays promotion. Entries were entered for the chance to fly anywhere in the United States to reunite families at this special time of time of year and a lucky couple in New Jersey won a expense paid trip to Oregon. The husband hadn’t been home for Christmas with his family in three years so tickets were purchased for him, his wife and son.
Spirit 105.3 is providing the children of incarcerated parents with Christmas gifts through the Angel Tree promotion, a program of Prison Fellowship. Shust is donating copies of Unto Us to help encourage donations for this valuable ministry. At the radio station’s website, www.spirit1053.com, there’s even a pop-up of Shust on the home page explaining the promotion.
WAY-FM Network is presenting Aaron Shust $1,000 Shopping Spree for a Family in Need. The station is receiving nominations for families that need help this holiday season and five families will be chosen by the station, with Shust selecting his favorite and the winning family receiving a $1,000 check.
“During this ‘most wonderful time of the year,’ it’s been a privilege to be able to partner with Aaron Shust,” says Rob Wagman, Program Director, WAY-FM Network. “Besides playing some great holiday music from Unto Us, it’s also so meaningful to give a listener the opportunity to nominate a family in need that will make a huge financial difference in the life of this family, especially at Christmas.”
At the same time, Shust is currently performing songs from Unto Us on a Christmas with Aaron Shust tour that concludes December 14th in Modesto, CA. Shust’s holiday album highlights a large production that includes the Prague Symphony Orchestra and on selected dates Shust will be joined with local choirs and orchestras, which recently delivered a powerful concert at The Heights Church in Dallas, TX.
