Twenty-six students and faculty from Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., will sing America the Beautiful during the Super Bowl XLVII pregame show, according to NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy (via USA Today).
The announcement comes after 20 students and six adults were tragically shot and killed at the school on Dec. 14.

The students and faculty will perform before Alicia Keys sings the National Anthem on Sunday in what will undoubtedly be an emotional moment for everyone watching.

Several NFL players have already reached out to students and families of Sandy Hook since the tragedy, including New York Giants receiver Victor Cruz, Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson and Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt, per the USA Today report.

Cruz visited the family of six-year-old Jack Pinto, who was killed in the mass shooting. Johnson wrote the names of all of the victims on a pair of cleats he wore in a game, before auctioning them off and giving the proceeds to the United Way's Sandy Hook School Support Fund. Watt played football with a group of students at Reliant Stadium before Week 16's game against the Minnesota Vikings.
