Save The City Records Partners With Northwest University To Launch Creatio Concert Series

The inaugural Creatio concert will take place on Friday, January 22 at 7 pm PST at Northwest University Chapel and will feature critically acclaimed singer/songwriter/producer Brandon Bee, popular West Coast rapper Benjiman and indie artist Rootdown with Paul Wright.

"We are confident that this collaboration will lead to new avenues of opportunity to connect young Christian musicians with the demand for cutting edge music. The Creatio Project at Northwest University features a brand new, high quality, fully-equipped recording studio and three new music industry majors at the Christian university, located on Seattle's east side. Bachelor of Arts degrees offered include Recording and Audio Technology, Music Industry Business and Worship and Technical Arts in Ministry.

"With the Creatio Project, Northwest University is quickly establishing itself as a premier Christian music hub in this part of the country," comments Save the City president Derek Hoiem. "We are excited to be partnering with them to bring artists such as Brandon Bee, Benjiman and Paul Wright--three rising artists from our region--to minister to the youth of our area. This is only the beginning!"

Brandon Bee, best known as a producer (Amber Pacific, Jaime Jamgochian, Stacie Orrico), and a sought-after worship leader at churches and conferences across the country, is quickly gaining fans for his own unique brand of pop/rock worship music. His Surrendered EP debuted in December on iTunes' "New & Noteworthy" section and reached the Top 20 on the iTunes Christian Albums chart over the recent Christmas holiday.

Bee recently unveiled his full-length debut project, This Is The Revolution, on Save the City Records. The CD has been garnering critical acclaim from media outlets such as iTunes, Christian Musician Magazine, CCMMagazine.com and Christianitytoday.com.

"One of the more striking debut efforts in recent memory, Bee firmly establishes the artistic reputation that his previous production work only hinted at with This Is The Revolution," says Christian Musician Magazine.

Rapper Benjiman's unique brand of rap/rock/funk, combined with his down-home lyrics, appeals to kids of all races and economic backgrounds. At festivals, concert halls, churches and prisons--wherever he goes, he finds himself ministering to them. 

"My ministry is to reach kids who no one else will talk to," says Benjiman. "After my live appearances, I often end up talking to kids with troubled pasts--they gravitate toward me. Rap is a universal language that opens doors to many audiences."

Benjiman has been burning up the highways in support of his recently-released sophomore CD, S.K.R.I.P.T. (Spreading Kingdom Realities In Perilous Times), which has been well-received by fans, ministries and media outlets including TBN and Campus Crusade for Christ, among others.
