According to police report based on an eyewitness account and that of the car driver, actor Kevin Clark was hit by a car while riding his bicycle east along Logan Boulevard in Chicago. When emergency first responders got to the scene of the accident, they found Clark pinned under his car. He was rushed to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he died shortly after.
Fellow actor Jack Black who starred with Clark in the 2003 movie “School of Rock,” expressed his condolences via tweet stating how devastating and unexpected Clark’s death was: “Sending love to his family and the whole School of Rock community,” he tweeted.
Clark landed this his only movie role by responding to an ad looking for adolescents who can play drums, keyboards, and guitar. Clark played drummer Freddy (Spazzy Mcgee) Jones in the movie “School of Rock.”
Clark then moved on to expand his talent in the music world by pursuing drumming. He played in the band Jess Bess & The Intentions, which made its debut performance Saturday at Legendary Wooden Nickel in the Chicago suburb of Highwood.
Stand-up and sketch comedian Rivkah Reyes described Clark as a “big-hearted, warm human.”
