Heartwarming Video Shows Boy Praying for Puerto Rico as It Deals With a Crime Wave That Has Left 20 Dead in the First 10 Days of 2019

A 12-year-old boy in Puerto Rico afraid of leaving his home issued an emotional plea, saying a prayer begging for peace in his homeland.

Josihel Delgado Martínez has grown tired of hearing about the continuous violence that has engulfed the Caribbean island throughout the first 10 days of 2019.

On Thursday, the young boy stood in front of his mom Lynn Martínez and told how he had been feeling down of late.

‘Mom, I’m sad for my Puerto Rico. Mom, you have not seen what’s happening,’ the disheartened child says.

The mother then gives her concerned son a heads up as she is recording their sentimental conversation, which he consents to.

The video has more than 200,000 views on the mother’s Facebook account.

‘I want there to be peace, mom,’ Delgado Martínez said while chatting inside his home in the southern coastal city of Guayama.
