Nicki Minaj Donates $25k to Cosby Show Star Geoffrey Owens After He Was Photographed and ‘Job Shamed’ for Working in Trader Joes

Nicki Minaj says she’s giving Geoffrey Owens $25,000 after The Cosby Show alum was job shamed over a part-time gig he worked at Trader Joe’s.

The Barbie Tingz artist, 35, opened up about the hot topic on her Beats 1 program Queen Radio, calling out the woman who snapped the shot of the actor at a New Jersey Trader Joe’s.

‘They took a picture of Geoffrey Owens and put this motherf***ing man on the motherf***in’ internet while he was f***ing baggin up some f***ing ‘groceries to feed his muthaf***ing family,’ said the Grammy-nominated artist. ‘I personally want to donate, on behalf of Queen Radio, $25,000 to Geoffrey Owens today.

‘Let me tell you something: This man is a whole f***in’ legend in these streets,’ said Nicki, who noted that the 57-year-old actor ‘is getting so many opportunities’ amid interest in the wake of the job-shaming controversy.

The Anaconda singer also aired out her grievances against Karma Lawrence, the woman who snapped the shot of Owens, who played Elvin Tibideaux on The Cosby Show, and distributed it to news outlets.

The Queens, New York native, whose full name is Onika Tanya Maraj, said of Lawrence: ‘Karma you and your b**** is stupid for that bulls***. You gonna try and embarrass this hardworking man.’

Lawrence, speaking Wednesday with NJ.com, said her intent ‘wasn’t malicious’ in snapping a shot of the actor at his part-time gig.
