A new survey claiming an “indoor generation” has revealed data that a quarter of all Americans spend almost 24 hours straight without going outside.
The study is related to the idea that Americans aren’t familiar with the relationship between indoor air quality and outdoor air quality.
VELUX’s “Indoor Generation Report” found 77 percent of Americans don’t believe breathing air is any worse than pollution outside. No data on the air quality differences seems readily available: The Washington Times reports the last U.S. EPA evaluation of indoor air quality places it at two to five times more polluted than outside.
