Preacher’s Granddaughter in Church-Going Family Suffer Horrific Tragedy When 11-Year-Old Granddaughter Was Allegedly Stabbed to Death by 51-Year-Old Family Member

The father of the 11-year-old girl stabbed to death in Wolverhampton on Friday visited the house where she was killed to lay a touching floral tribute to her.

Jasmine Forrester’s father Simeon visited the murder scene today where he left a note saying: ‘My shining star. Things will never be the same, my heart is broken.

‘I will never forget you, I will always love you Jasmine. Love Dad.’

‘R.I.P beautiful Jasmine will be missed by all in year 6, fly high princess xxx’

Her father has spoken today of his utter devastation at her death.

The ‘lovely’ 11-year-old died in hospital on Friday afternoon.
Her father added: ‘This is a hugely tragic time for our family and the loss we feel is unexplainable. We are utterly devastated.
‘Jasmine was a shining star and a huge part of us.
‘We would really like to be left alone at this time while we come to terms with what happened.’

After her death was announced, Jade Whittall wrote on social media: ‘RIP Jasmine, such a sad day. ‘Such a lovely little girl taken far too soon and in such an awful way.’

Lorraine Chew added: ‘My lil ones friend, she’s devastated, such a shame, she was a lovely girl.’

One card addressed to the young girl read: ‘A shining star who always put a smile on our faces with your kind word, beautiful smile and heart of gold.

‘The world is a sadder place without you in for you were one of the best.’

One resident, who asked not to be named, said: ‘It is a huge shock. ‘The little girl goes to the same school as my daughter. It is very upsetting.’
