Derek Minor premieres his latest single “Astronaut” today on Rapzilla. The song featuring Deraj and Byron Juane is now available at online retailers.

LISTEN: “ASTRONAUT”

On the track produced by OB and DJ Pez, Minor uses astronaut as a metaphor to describe his determination to excel despite hurdles, rapping, “I been feeling like they been trying to hold me down … But everytime I fall I never touch the ground / I keep blasting off like a astronaut.”

Reflection Music Group artist Deraj reps for the squad on the second verse and Bryon Juane continues the theme, closing the song with soulful adlibs.

Last month, Minor released 1990s-inspired “Fresh Prince.”
