I’m a hooper. I played basketball in college. There was always something special about pre game huddles, jumping, chanting, or hearing the national anthem as you wait for the buzzer to sound at the start of the game.

I won a national championship as a Christian in college. It’s a great feeling. I realized something though: basketball is a great game, but its just a game. It’s temporary. You get old, you die. Hate to say it that way but it’s true. I’m just thankful that death is not the end of the road for the Christian.

In the face of death, Jesus resurrected and won the true game. Like KB says, “He’s undefeated, He’s never lost.” He’s the real MVP that carries the whole team. We’re a better squad when we recognize that. Get Him the rock. He is the Rock. When He steps on the court, the rims bow down to worship Him. Just like those rims, everybody will bow before Him, in this life or the next. It’s game time.
