Rev. Jesse Jackson is preaching inclusion in the heart of Silicon Valley on Wednesday.
The civil rights leader is bringing together 25 high-tech companies to brainstorm strategies to increase participation of minorities in the industry.
Recent reports from top technology companies show their work forces are mostly white and Asian men.
Jackson is calling on technology companies to set concrete goals and timetables.
His Rainbow PUSH Coalition also plans to release diversity score cards on tech companies in January.
“There is much more work to be done to meet the challenge of transforming the tech industry to resemble the America it depends upon for talent and customers,” Jackson said.
