The promotional trailer below touts Rob Bell as a “pastor / rock star speaker / bestselling author.” And, now, the Mars Hill Bible Church founder also has a television show.

“The Rob Bell Show” will premiere next month on the Oprah Winfrey Network, about three years after Bell left his pastoral role at the Grandville megachurch to pursue work in television. The one-hour show that stars Bell and is co-produced by him is scheduled to air 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21.

The network in a press release states that Bell “tackles life’s big questions” during the show, using a mix of on-camera storytelling and interaction with a live audience. The show “focuses on the universal desire to create a life of meaning, hope and joy” here and now.

“Bell shines a bright light on the topics we most want to talk about but don’t know where to begin,” the release states. “Whether you’re spiritual, cynical, religious, or not quite sure, Rob invites you into the questions, wrestling with what it all means and why we find spiritual topics so fascinating.

“As 2014 comes to a close, Rob shares the tools everyone can begin using now to start the New Year off right – moving forward in your life, owning who you are and becoming who you are meant to be.”
